Privacy Policy
STRUO is a consulting practice operated by Smith Capital Management LLC ("SCM", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle information in connection with our services and tools — including the STRUO n8n Publisher, a LinkedIn integration used to publish content on behalf of authorized users.
This policy is straightforward. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and we don't collect anything we don't need.
1. What We Collect
When you authorize our LinkedIn integration (STRUO n8n Publisher), we may access and temporarily process the following data through the LinkedIn API:
- Your LinkedIn profile information (name, profile URL, profile photo)
- Your LinkedIn member ID
- Authorization tokens that allow us to post content on your behalf
- Content you or our systems generate and submit for publishing to LinkedIn
When you contact us or use our services directly, we may also collect your name, email address, and any other information you choose to share.
2. How We Use It
We use the information described above only to:
- Authenticate your LinkedIn account and publish content on your behalf through our n8n automation workflows
- Respond to inquiries and deliver our consulting services
- Operate and improve our tools and systems
We do not use your LinkedIn data for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any purpose beyond the specific function you authorized.
3. Data Storage and Retention
Authorization tokens and LinkedIn API credentials are stored securely within our n8n automation environment and are not shared with external parties. We retain this data only as long as needed to provide the service. You can revoke access at any time through your LinkedIn app permissions settings.
Consulting engagement data (email communications, documents, and deliverables) is retained for the duration of our engagement and for a reasonable period thereafter for our records.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Trusted tools and platforms we use to operate (e.g., n8n, Notion) — only to the extent necessary and under confidentiality obligations
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our legal rights
LinkedIn data is used in accordance with LinkedIn's API Terms of Use and is never used for purposes outside of what you explicitly authorized.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Revoke LinkedIn authorization at any time through your LinkedIn settings
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you
- Opt out of any future communications from us
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to use strong credentials and review app permissions regularly.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
